Back on the grid. Again.

A computer component failed. Again. Surprise. Yeah, it was that router again, and this time we could not get it revived. We took the router out to an abandoned field and put it to rest (read as: The Eternal Paper-jamming Printer of the 'Office Space' movie). I must admit the router was 'ancient' (wow, it was 4 years old ... gasp!). In any event, I am glad to be connected again. Thanks to Marilyn McDavid and Rob Tiller I can now use a secureID to circumvent dependency on iNotes. I admit that iNotes is quick and easy, but it just does not compare to be connected remotely to my office computer.

So, how is Mike today? Very thankful to have so many friends that care about and support him. Many of you have expressed thoughts that you have done very little, please stop to consider the impact contained in multiple 'small' kindnesses combined together. I have been in some very dark places recently, your combined encouragements have made a difference. Please do NOT underestimate what your one 'small' prayer has done.

And so, I go into my next surgery prepared for any outcome. A specialist will be called in to work on my eye and I will go in knowing your thoughts and prayers are with me once again. And come what may, good or bad, I will have friends supporting my recovery efforts. What more can one ask for?

By the way, can anyone tell me what is another word for thesaurus? Or synonym?
